Pacific Breast Pathology uses PathCentral as it’s core laboratory for all technical tissue processing. Health care providers have direct access to a secure online test ordering system which tracks specimens via a barcode system from the moment of submission until the final pathology report is issued by Pacific Breast Pathology. Reports are viewable online 24/7.
PathCentral has an extensive courier system that can pick up specimens from any office or clinic in California and deliver it either via ground or via air to the central laboratory, including evenings. The laboratory operates 24/7 and thus we can insure rapid turnaround on routine biopsies, including weekends and holidays.
Contact us at info@pacificbreastpathology.com to learn more about why we use PathCentral's seamless web-based Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Information System (APLIS). We can provide a live or web-based demonstration to your practice explaining the service and how it can streamline your workflow from moment of breast biopsy to final pathology report.
We process and diagnose all types of breast core needle biopsies (stereotactic, vacuum-assisted, ultrasound-guided, and MR-guided). We provide 24 hour turnaround time on routine core biopsies, including weekends and holidays.
We examine and process all forms of surgical specimens from excisional biopsies and needle localizations to mastectomies. All surgical specimens are grossed in by one of Pacific Breast Pathology’s board certified pathologists.
We provide full service immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology for evaluation of estrogen/progesterone receptors, her2/neu (including FISH) and other breast diagnostic and prognostic markers. All testing is performed at PathCentral's immunohistochemistry laboratory which is CLIA-certified and CAP accredited. We follow current CAP/ASCO guidelines for ER/PR and HER2 testing.
Pacific Breast Pathology provides an expert second opinion consultation service on all breast specimens. Contact us at info@pacificbreastpathology.com for more information on how to send your biopsy for review.
