New Speaking Engagements for Pacific Breast Pathology

Our course entitled “Ten Diagnoses in Breast Pathology You Cannot Afford to Miss” was accepted for a three-year run beginning in March 2013 at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Annual Meeting.  We will be giving the course in Baltimore in 2013, San Diego in 2014, then Boston in 2015. I am giving this course with my colleagues Dr. Geza Acs from Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida and Dr. Gelareh Farshid from the University of Adelaide in Australia. We discuss difficult differential diagnoses in breast pathology that can significantly affect future treatment recommendations for the patient.

In May 2012 we will finish our third year presenting our course “Imaging and Management of High Risk Breast Lesions” at the annual American Roentgen Ray Society meeting. This year the meeting is in Vancouver, British Columbia. I present this course with my colleague Dr. Dianne Georgian-Smith, a breast radiologist from Harvard Medical School. We talk about how women who are diagnosed with a high risk breast lesion on core biopsy are being randomly treated based on where they get their biopsy and who is their treating physician.
